Christianity is as inseparable from the Armenian identity as the Armenian language or the history of Armenia. Being the first nation in the world to adopt Christianity as a state religion in 301 A.D. the Armenians reckoned their religion as a guiding star, which leaded the nation and united it throughout the hardest times in history: invasions, rebellions and absence of state organization.

Each of the tracks on the CD represents a unique story related to the early period of Christianity in Armenia. This helps to gain a deeper insight into the history of Christianity in Armenia, its origins, milestone events related to the spread of Christianity and its adoption as state religion, church statute and doctrine (catechism) as well as the circumstances under which the Armenian alphabet was created.

The creators of the CD tried to make it interesting, comprehensive and most importantly accurate. To this end works by Movses Khorenatsi and Agatangeghos, namely works of the same name “The History of Armenia” were used. The latter are among the oldest and complete sources of information on ancient Armenia.

Each story has a corresponding soundtrack and the sound is recorded by talented actors of the best Armenian theatres.
